Maafushivaru. I could hardly pronounce the name really, until I came to the island. Now it is easy for me, because the name of the enchanting island of Maldives will always be a synonym for the word paradise for me. In principle, I'm only sighing umhergetigert during my 48 hours of this island. On the beach, under palm trees, while eating. Even in the water and I sighed. In delight. Before disbelief. Before bliss. And when the day of departure our Seaplane Shuttle by storm in times threatened so so late for that, we would not have been able to start our return journey, I was not really worried. Here I would have liked to be stranded.
For Maafushivaru is for many reasons really enchanting: the island is tiny, no winzigst - the smallest Maldives Hotel Island, where I've ever had. Jeanny and I had a lot of luck and have one of the pool villas for our two
nights collared, of course that was the lap of luxury - even if the azure sea was only a few steps away from our bed. Sigh.
But what is even better: the house reef, where I was a bit of snorkeling and had my first encounter with a reef shark, which quickly withdrew himself but also for interested -but not quite the contrary, as he was afraid of me. Sigh ,
And then the food: I'm not a big breakfast fan, but here it has not only tasted me, I was simply amazed by the selection and quality of food. Finally, there was next to western treats really spicy curries and Maldivian food. And finally, excellent sushi! The service was outstanding accordingly - right after we arrived the waiter already knew our names and our preferences after the first meal. Sigh.
