Bangkok

Visiting Bangkok I realized that you can not miss a tour of the canals of the Chao Phraya River. Do not be scared by the color of this river; instead you have to literally live the main artery of water of this capital and its so-called khlong (channels).
And the best way to enjoy them is just "exploiting". Starting from the present several piers along the river, you can take a ride on the boat (Chao Phraya Express) which stops at the height of the main attractions of Bangkok (such as Wat Arun, Wat Pho etc ...), or take a ride on the typical Thai boats (the long tail boat). Water reveals a different Bangkok. You can sense the relationship that the inhabitants have with their most important river, you can scrutinize, discreetly, some habits and taste typical conditions of daily life, and maybe sometimes atypical for us Westerners, in a city like Bangkok.
E 'in practice a different angle, unexpected, fresh and authentic.
Tip: it happened to me to get in a small agency to Skytrain (subway) to Saphan Taksin, and book a long tail boat ride, starting at Tha Sathorn. If you decide to take a ride on these boats in Thailand, bring a jacket or a scarf to put on the legs: get him splashing dirt Chao Praya is not the best ..._MG_9615mod_MG_8980mod.
